In response to the largest social security initiative in Pakistan's history, the Prime Minister launched an emergency cash move. 12 million families (72 million people) will get Rs. 12,000 each. The total cost is 144 billion.
Dr. Sanya Nishtar, the Prime Minister's Assistant Special Assistant on Eradication of Poverty and Social Security, said the Emergency Cash Program is intended to benefit deserving families. An SMS service 8171 has been launched.
Speaking during a program on Radio Pakistan on Wednesday, Dr. Sanya Nishtar said that the $ 150 billion programs were the country's largest social security program launched for poor families suffering from a coronary virus.
